Warts and
skin tags are very common skin conditions. They can be embarrassing and annoying but with simple medical treatments they can easily be removed. Warts are common on the fingers, face and groin area. Skin tags are common on the neck, under the armpits, breasts, between the legs and occasionally around the eyes.
Wart removal and skin tag removal costs from 80 and is quick and simple to do under Local Anaesthetic. It is no longer available on the NHS.
Our Dermatology experts will fully explain any minor surgical operation that is necessary and will only proceed with your consent.
Cryotherapy / Freezing
This is the simplest and easiest method for removing small warts and skin tags. This usually involves some liquid nitrogen spray onto the lesion which then blisters for a few days and it then usually falls off. With resistant warts sometimes a daily regime of paring down (with emery board), then applying Occulsal cream to burn off the wart and then wrapping in duct tape is also required.
Surgical removal
This is also a common option for skin tags as they can sometimes be numerous in number and in delicate areas where freezing may not be ideal. The procedure is normally done with some anaesthetic so no pain is felt and is very simple and quick to do.
